Jetstream (707) was first overall, with two wins and one second. Kismet (Dragon) was second overall, and Humdinger narrowly beat Varrich (both H-boats) to third place overall.

Appreciation was expressed that some of the “slow handicap” boats had entered; Border Maid was awarded a prize for the fastest of the “slow handicap” group.

Twelve boats participated in the second race and ten boats raced in all three.

An exciting race with stronger wind and nicer weather – a gorgeous evening with a spectacular sunset.  All twelve boats that started finished, with some disruptions to the expected order due to mechanical problems. Jetstream maintained her winning streak, staying ahead throughout the race.

On Wednesday there were 11 competitors – well done to Jetstream for coming first. Humdinger was second, and Varrich third.

The wind was light, the race was stopped after about an hour when the boats had done between two and four laps. Results were decided on average time. A torrential downpour started a few minutes before the end, and chased us off the water. Most of the competitors met in the bar afterwards and were well catered for – thanks to the House Committee and bar staff for this. Some new and potential members turned up and were welcomed aboard various boats.
